Honoring Veterans

Veterans Day is Nov. 11 and Westlake resident Hank Hanisch, a Vietnam vet, wants to make sure our veterans are not forgotten in all the frenzy surrounding this year’s election. Hanisch created a poster honoring veteran activities this week and has it displayed at the Paramount Tennis Club on Viking Parkway in Westlake. He invites fellow vets to display photos of themselves there as well, and has included pictures of past veterans events like the annual Veteran’s Assembly that was hosted at Westlake’s Holly Lane School each year. “This is not about me,” says Hank. “It is about all the vets who did so much to make this country great.” Let us all remember our vets this Nov. 11 and may God bless our veterans!
