A surprise announcement was made at the Community West Foundation Board of Directors meeting held last week: Mr. Daniel Roth, Chief Financial Officer, was promoted to Vice President of the organization. Mr. Roth has marked over 13 years overseeing all financial and investment elements for the foundation’s $168 million in assets. In addition, he places an emphasis on continuing the development of relationships with the foundation’s most important assets, its donors.
A Lorain County native, Mr. Roth received his Bachelors of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron and later went on to earn his Master of Business Administration focused in Finance Concentration from Kent State University – Graduate School of Management. Prior to starting his career with Community West, Mr. Roth worked in materials handling management at RR Donnelley and accounting at the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. “It’s the mission of Community West Foundation that appealed to me,” Mr. Roth explained. “Knowing that the funds we manage support non-profit organizations helping people in need, that’s the most rewarding aspect of my job.”
Mr. Roth and his wife, Julie, live in Sheffield Village and have two children: Emma, a freshman at The Ohio State University, and Michael, a sophomore at Brookside High School. In his spare time, Mr. Roth enjoys spending time with his family, supporting Cleveland Guardians baseball and traveling.
