Magician Rick Smith Jr. Entertains Westlake Residents

Famed Magician and Northeast Ohio-native Rick Smith Jr. entertained patrons today as part of our January Luncheon at the Westlake Community Services Center. The show included various illusions and tricks involving mentalism, which have earned him numerous appearances on national television, including guest spots on The Tonight Show and Shark Tank. At one point, a member of the audience was invited to help Mr. Smith Jr. with a demonstration of his World Record-setting card-throwing ability, which is available on-demand on the Westlake Community Access Channel here: www.cityofwestlake.org/156/Communications.

Westlake Elementary Students Create “Hugs”

Students at Westlake Elementary School created “hugs” which are now decorating the area around Connections Cafe in the Westlake Community Services Center! Each artistic creation depicts the students’ individual interpretation of a hug paired with a message about laughing and playing in the snow! #ThankYou

Our patrons will have the chance to meet with City of Westlake personnel who provide vital services each and every day for the people of our community. They can ask questions, learn about what they do day-to-day and get to know each other while having coffee in our Connections Café:

Friday, January 28, 9-11 a.m. – Westlake Firefighters

Friday, February 25, 9-11 a.m. – Westlake Service Mechanic
