Remembering 9/11

Avon Fire Capt. Joseph Reisling mans the bell on the city’s 1931 antique engine in honor of the fallen at Patriot Day ceremonies at the Avon Veterans Memorial the morning of Sept. 11, 2023. The City of Avon follows an annual tradition of remembering those that fell victim to terrorist attacks on the United States on 9/11/01. 22 years later, the City of Avon joins with the rest of the nation in a commitment to “Never Forget.”
