Celebrating Survivorship

Mercy Health Cancer Center hosted a “Celebrate Survivorship” retreat at the Amherst Beaver Creek Metropark on Friday, May 3.

The mini-retreat focused on cancer survivors who are walking the courageous course to recovery. Events of the day included welcoming remarks from Dr. Mita Patel, Nutrition demo, Sea Glass art, journaling and yoga.

“We are celebrating survivorship and celebrating these women in their journey in fighting cancer,” said Dr. Patel. “This is an opportunity to have fun and find ways to heal in our journey.” Dr. Patel is Breast Surgical Oncologist and Medical Director of the Mercy Breast Program.
