Q-Lab Hosts Safety Forces Day

Q-Lab Corp of Westlake annually takes a day each summer to honor Westlake Police and Firefighters with a lunch in their honor on the Q-Lab grounds at 800 Canterbury Road.

The purpose of the lunch is to honor and thank these safety forces for their commitment to community.

“Thanks to all the Q-Lab people who were able to join us and to all of the Westlake Police and Fire Department members who were able to join us here today for this annual celebration,” said Ron Roberts, Vice President Q-Lab at this year’s event June. “We have excellent Police and Fire departments here in Westlake. Today’s gathering is primarily so that we can express our appreciation for YOU, the dedicated individuals who put themselves in harm’s way to protect us.”

Ron then quoted Q-Lab founder Doug Grossman with these words: “Civilized life would be impossible without police protection. The most basic function of government is to protect the citizens from violent individuals who intend to do harm.”

Westlake police and firefighters put themselves into all kinds of difficult situations in order to protect the community. “We appreciate the dedicated members of our police force, for handling a challenging and often thankless job.”
