University Hospitals Pet Pals Offers Comfort to North Olmsted Community

University Hospitals and the Cuyahoga County Public Library worked together on June 26 to support the North Olmsted community following the stabbing death of a 3-year-old toddler.

A UH Pet Pals coordinator and therapy dogs were on site at the North Olmsted Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library to provide emotional support for grieving community members of all ages.

“We know that there is nothing we can do to take away the pain of this tragic event, but at lease we can provide a few minutes of comfort to members of the community,” said the coordinator.

The visit was warmly received by dozens of community members, children and community members, who visited.
