Avon Middle School Creates Black History Month Wax Museum

The 6th grade students at Avon Middle School researched an African American historical figure, learned about their life, and brought their stories to life through dramatic play. This incredible lesson left a lasting impression on all who attended, as many, including students, walked away having learned something new about each figure. It was a fun and educational event that provided our students with the opportunity to discover more about the remarkable Americans who have shaped our world. This program has become a wonderful staple in Avon that many look forward to each year. This is the fourth year for the Avon Middle School Wax Museum under teacher LaShaun Garcia.
