The Community Outreach Department at University Hospitals St. John Medical Center makes a difference in the health and well-being of our community.
Community Outreach hosted a Health Fair for employees of American Greetings at the company’s Crocker Park home two weeks ago.
The Fair represents the mission of Community Outreach, which was established in 1998 to promote health and wellness in the community.
“The Fair was a great success,” said Paul Forthofer, Director. “We performed over 500 screenings. Community Outreach is very pleased to help people connect with the appointments and services they need and to serve their wellness needs conveniently to them.”
“We care deeply about the health and welfare of the communities we are privileged to serve one resident at a time,” said Rob David, President and CEO, UH St. John.

Those who attended were able to access information on cardiovascular services, digestive services, Ask a Doc emergency services, information on diabetes, Connor Integrative Health Network, Acupuncture, Midwife services and even appointment scheduling.
Screenings included blood pressure, cholesterol/glucose, bone density, grip and stength, stroke and more.
