St. Bernadette School Celebrates Catholic Schools Week

St. Bernadette School kicked-off the celebration of Catholic Schools Week with their annual Open House on January 30th.

Mayor Clough presented the Principal, Mrs. Maureen Goodwin, First Grade Teacher, Mrs. Debbie Chinchar, and Dean of Students, Mrs. Mary Beth Sullivan with a Proclamation from the City. Mayor Clough commended the school on their robust Robotics program that is sponsored and mentored through the Knights of Columbus. This is just one of the many extracurriculars that St. Bernadette School offers.

Numerous activities took place during CSW, including a “We Are Thankful for Our Community and Nation” Day where students, faculty and staff stuffed treat bags for area bus drivers and delivered doughnuts to the Westlake Police Department and Fire Station.

The St. Bernadette faculty, staff and families also donated to “Building Hope in the City” whose mission is to renew urban Cleveland through housing and community development, refugee and immigrant programs, city leader formation and social enterprise.
