Westlake Safety Fair

University Hospitals teamed with the City of Westlake in hosting a fall Safety Fair at the Westlake Rec Center on Sat., Sept. 16.

The fair took place in conjunction with the first annual Westlake Community Run, a 5K and one mile fun run that attracted over 200 runners.

“It’s wonderful to see the rec center being used for community races rather than the usual Hilliard and Crocker Rd. route. It was refreshing not having to deal with the traffic disruption for a change,” said one participant.

Wellness Day activities inside the Rec Center featured many informational and health check stations. Outside, fire and service equipment were on hand for the enjoyment of children.
