Get Ready, Northeast Ohio — IKEA is Coming to Crocker Park

One of the world’s most recognized home furnishing brands will transform the former Dick’s Sporting Goods space and bring the full IKEA experience to Westlake in Spring 2027

The wait is over. IKEA is coming to Crocker Park. The globally recognized home furnishings retailer will open its newest Ohio location at the mixed-use lifestyle center in Spring 2027, bringing one of the world’s most iconic retail destinations to Northeast Ohio. The new store will feature IKEA’s small-format concept, offering customers a convenient way to explore inspiring showroom displays, receive design support and plan purchases closer to home.

The Swedish retailer, known around the world for its stylish and affordable home furnishings, will occupy approximately 80,000 square feet in the former Dick’s Sporting Goods space, bringing one of the world’s most recognized retail brands to Cleveland’s West Side.

This announcement represents a defining moment not only for Crocker Park, but for the entire Northeast Ohio region. Shoppers from Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Toledo, Erie, Youngstown, and beyond will soon have a destination where they can experience one of the world’s most recognized home furnishing brands. For more than two decades, Crocker Park has attracted visitors from across the region with its unmatched mix of shopping, dining, office, residential, and entertainment experiences. Combined with its prime location along the I-90 corridor, exceptional accessibility, and strong demographics, Crocker Park was the natural choice for the newest small format IKEA location in Ohio.

“We had a very short list of ‘best-in-class’ retailers we believed could truly transform this key anchor location, and IKEA was our number one choice,” said Lidia Saluan Richani, Executive Vice President of Leasing for Stark Enterprises. “We are thrilled to welcome one of the world’s most recognized home furnishing brands to Crocker Park. This is about more than activating a premier retail space—it’s about creating a destination that will attract visitors from across the region, enhance our retail mix, and reinforce Crocker Park’s position as one of the nation’s leading mixed-use lifestyle centers.”

Upon opening in Spring 2027, the small format IKEA will transform the former Dick’s Sporting Goods space into a vibrant destination where guests can experience everything the globally recognized brand has to offer. From inspiring room displays and innovative home furnishing solutions to the marketplace filled with thousands of affordable products and the beloved Swedish food offerings, the new store will deliver the complete IKEA experience under one roof. Expected to attract visitors from across Northeast Ohio and beyond, IKEA will further elevate Crocker Park as the region’s premier destination to shop, dine, live, play, work, and stay.

“Bringing IKEA to Crocker Park has been years in the making,” said Ezra Stark, CEO of Stark Enterprises. “This announcement reflects years of strategic planning, strong partnerships, and our commitment to continually elevating Crocker Park with brands people truly want to experience. IKEA isn’t simply another retailer—it’s a destination that will draw visitors from across the Midwest, strengthen our regional economy, and further establish Crocker Park as one of the nation’s premier mixed-use destinations.”

“This isn’t just another tenant announcement—it’s one of the most significant retail milestones in Crocker Park’s history,” said Stacie Schmidt, Vice President of Marketing & Communications for Stark Enterprises. “IKEA is one of the few retail brands that inspires people to travel. Welcoming them to Crocker Park is a testament to the strength of our market and the unique mixed-use experience we’ve built here. For more than two decades, we’ve cultivated a vibrant destination that brings together retail, dining, entertainment, residential and office offerings in one place. The addition of IKEA further enhances that experience and gives Northeast Ohio residents and visitors alike another compelling reason to visit Crocker Park.”

As Crocker Park continues to evolve, the addition of the small-format IKEA marks another defining milestone in its growth as one of the nation’s premier mixed-use lifestyle destinations. The project reflects Stark Enterprises’ long-term vision of bringing world-class brands and exceptional experiences to Northeast Ohio while creating lasting economic impact for the region.

As development progresses, additional updates on construction milestones, hiring opportunities, and grand opening celebrations will be shared in the months ahead.

At Crocker Park, it’s all about the experience—and the countdown to Spring 2027 starts now.
