The Avon Catholic Community, including Holy Trinity School and Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception School, welcomed students back to the classroom with excitement, smiles and plenty of special first-day moments. It was a joyful start to a new school year for students, teachers and families across the Avon Catholic Community.
- At Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception School, kindergartner Mia Solis, 5, had an extra reason to celebrate as she marked her birthday on Aug. 19—the first day of school.
- At Holy Trinity School, first-grader Kayleigh Martin shared a big hug with Technology teacher Tera Cowdin as they celebrated the excitement of a new school year on Aug. 20.
- For kindergartner Jae Edwards, the first day also marked an important milestone as he made his commitment to Holy Trinity School officials on Aug. 20 during a special Kindergarten signing ceremony on the first day of school.
