Avon’s ‘Every Child’s Playgound’ to Host Inaugural Story Time

The City of Avon will celebrate the inaugural ‘Story Time’ at the new ‘Every Child’s Playground’ located next to the Aquatic Center on Sat., April 14.

Ribbon-cutting for the new playground will take place at 10:15 a.m.

A day of activities will follow, starting with a special Story Time at 10:30.

Here is the schedule:

-10:30 AM STORY TIME -Lowe’s is the presenting sponsor of the Story Time Area

-11:00 AM STORY WALK WITH MAYOR JENSEN

-12, 12:30 & 1 PM HISTORY WALK TOURS, Given by members of Avon Historical Society and Landmark Preservation Commission

-12:00 PM FAMILY YOGA, Presented by University Hospitals Avon.

-12:30 PM MTEC MUSIC ENRICHMENT and ALL DAY  MUSICAL PERFORMANCES featuring student performers from the distinguished AHS band program.

There will be samples, activities, goodie bags and surprises from our business partners but please feel free to pack a picnic and bring a blanket so you can enjoy the playground all day!
