Bay Village Police Continue Vigilance

Bay Village Police continues to investigate the recent incidents of suspicious males contacting school-aged children in Bay Village.  No additional information has been developed.

 

A resident on Oakmoor reported on October 9, 2013 that a package delivered from Amazon was opened and left on a neighbor’s property.  Nothing was missing from the package.

 

On October 8, 2013 at 2:37am, a BVPD Officer observed a suspicious Subaru in a driveway on Bassett Road.  After running the license plate, he discovered the vehicle was stolen from Richmond Heights.  Attempts to locate any occupants were unsuccessful.  Later in the day it was discovered a Honda minivan had been stolen from an attached garage on West Oakland.  Items from the garage had also been stolen, some of which were discovered in the recovered stolen Subaru.  Theft reports were also taken from two other nearby residences.  On October 12th, Cleveland PD recovered the stolen Honda minivan.  Detectives are investigating.

 

On 10-2-2013 at 10:16pm, an officer stopped a vehicle on Dover for traffic violations.  The officer suspected the driver of being intoxicated and administered field sobriety tests, which the 43 year old male driver failed. He faces DUI and other traffic charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

 

Rocky River Police reported a possible DUI entering Bay Village on Lake Road on 10-13-2013 at 6:22pm. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was given field sobriety tests.  The 38 year old male was arrested and charged with DUI and BAC and will answer to the charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
