Bay Man Charged with Inducing Panic

Bay Police received several calls early in the morning of March 3 from the East Oakland area reporting an adult male pounding on doors claiming there were people in his house and they had shot his parents. The first call came in at 4:18  a.m. Mutual aid was requested from Westlake Police.

 

Westcom was contacted and asked to have an ambulance stand by in the vicinity until the area was secured.

 

The parents were found to be okay and claimed they had no knowledge of why their son had made such claims. The 19-year old male was taken into custody for DCI and Inducing Panic. He will face charges at RRMC.

 

Impaired Drivers

 

On 03/09/2014, at 0011 hrs, Westlake PD called BVPD to report a possible impaired driver was heading northbound on Dover Center Rd. from their city.  A BVPD officer located and stopped the vehicle on Wolf Rd. near Glendenning.  After speaking with the 47-yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Bay Village resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

 

On 03/08/2014, at 2156 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Upland at Wolf Rd.  While speaking with the 19-yoa male driver, officers observed alcohol and drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle.  The Bay Village resident was arrested for Underage Possession of Alcohol and various drug related offenses.  He will face charges at RRMC.

 

Missing Meds

On 03/08/2014, at 1629 hrs, a resident at the Knickerbocker Apartments reported that someone had stolen prescription medication out of her apartment.  Police are investigating.

 

OVIs

 

On 03/07/2014, at 0107 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Wolf Rd. near Douglas for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 56-yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Rocky River resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

 

On 03/05/3014, at 0047 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Debbington at Buchanan Drive for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the-19 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result the Bay Village resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

 

On 03/03/2014, at 2321 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Bassett for a traffic violation.  After speaking with the 51-yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.  Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the Avon Lake resident was arrested for OVI.  He will face charges at RRMC.

 

Porch Items Missing

 

On 03/05/2014, at 1657 hrs, a resident in the 26000 block of Osborn called BVPD to report a table and lantern had be taken off of her front porch sometime during the day.  A report was filed in the matter.
