Nursing facilities must meet hundreds of criteria to pass the state survey – from nursing care to food services to the physical condition of the building. Surveyors inspect the building, review staff processes and interview residents and family members.
“Life Care Center of Westlake has a team of associates that practice resident-centered care on a daily basis,” said Maryann Dubyoski, executive director. “It was apparent to the survey team that our associates know our residents as unique people and actively involve them in their plan of care and in all areas of facility life.”
Dubyoski added that the surveyors took the time to thank associates in each department for their part in creating a homelike environment for residents.
Life Care Center of Westlake’s survey took place March 10-13, 2014.
