Living statue Mark Abbati, also known as Joy Unspeakable, draws stares as he replicates a soldier at the Crocker Park Liberty Fest. This well-known performer finds his inspiration in legends like Marcell Marceau and Charlie Chaplin as he performs amazing living statue routines.
Crocker Park is Fourth of July headquarters each year as the Westlake Lifestyle Center entertains the community with its annual Liberty Fest.
The 9th annual Liberty Fest took place on Sun., June 29, as thousands gathered for a variety of activities.
Of note was the annual Cleveland Pops Orchestra concert, followed by a gala fireworks display launched from the rooftops of Crocker Park buildings. The whole day was a hit, starting with Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, a concert from Monica & The Ninja Cowboys and then a Patriotic Tribute Ceremony in support of wounded American soldier Alex Haworth, an Olmsted Falls grad injured while serving in Afghanistan. It was a night to celebrate America.
