Bay Police Press Release on Columbia Road Incident

On July 10, 2014 an Upland Road resident reported that his vehicle was entered between 9pm on July 9th and 10am on July 10th.   Several items were stolen including a handgun.

Bay Village Police quickly developed information that a 17 year old Bay Village resident was involved in the theft.  Officers recovered much of the stolen items from a residence on Wolf Road.  Further investigation revealed the gun was in a residence on Columbia Road.

On July 10th at approximately 3pm, the Bay Village Police, with the assistance of the Westshore Enforcement Bureau SWAT team, searched the home on Columbia Road.  The stolen handgun was recovered and two juvenile males involved in the theft and possession of the handgun were arrested.  Charges are pending further investigation.
