Dave Greenspan, District 1 Cuyahoga County Councilmember, announced today passage of an ordinance he sponsored calling for greater financial accountability.
The ordinance passed 10-1 at the June 24th meeting of the Cuyahoga County Council.
Cuyahoga County Ordinance O2104-0013 requires internal requests for public funds to provide an overview, budget, milestones/timelines and staffing levels for all new programs and services. Prior to the passage of this Ordinance internal requests for tax payer funds were not required to provide this information.
“I am thankful to my colleagues who supported this Ordinance and for their shared core belief in open, transparent and accountable government” said Councilman Greenspan. The Councilman went on to say “Without guidelines, there can be no accountability.”
This ordinance demonstrates Councilman Greenspan’s continued belief in “responsive, responsible and accountable” leadership.
