In Westlake, one woman’s fury turned into a rage of destruction when, on April 12, Police report a A 22 year old Lakewood female was arrested for Criminal Damaging on April 12 at her ex-boyfriend’s Clemens Rd. home. He had let her in to pick up her belongings, then left. Meanwhile, she poured beer on his bed, cut up clothing items and poured bleach on them, and dunked his electronics in beer.POLICE_Westlake_Disclaimer

Total loss is estimated at $1753.  A 22 yoa Parma Hts woman that she brought along for moral support was cited for POM.

Man Phones Death Threat

A 38 yoa North Ridgeville man took his dismissal from a Detroit Rd. business very badly on April 10. He was fired 2 days previously. After stewing for two days, he called and threatened to kill everyone.  He denied saying that when contacted by the investigating officer. Warrants for Agg. Menacing and Telecommunications Harassment have been issued.

Paycheck Ransom

A paycheck squabble at a Crocker Rd. business resulted in the theft of a 21yoa male employee’s cellphone. Another employee (20yoa Cleveland woman) and her unidentified boyfriend demanded her check; in the course of explaining why that was not possible, the victim allowed the boyfriend to speak to his superior on the victim’s phone. The boyfriend then kept it for ransom until the female was paid. A warrant for Complicity to Theft was issued for the female.

Locker Room Rumble

Two Westlake High School students fought in the boys’ locker room on April 11. The older boy was transported to St. John Medical Center for facial injuries. Prosecutor to rule on a possible Assault charge.

Crocker Park Theft

Property worth $1000 was stolen from a Main St. store on April 8. Prior to that, the black male and black female suspects had been recognized by staff at another store and told to leave. They departed the premises in a white Honda Civic with a temp. tag.

Miscellaneous Mayhem

-A West Avalon Dr. man had a phony federal tax retuned filed under his name. He reported it on April 7.

-A Crossings Pkwy. man had the rear plate stolen off of his 1998 Honda Civic sometime April 3-7.

-The lock was removed from a Westlake man’s locker at a Market St. business on April 7. His clothes and wallet (including credit cards) and keys were taken.

-An Indianpath Dr. home was TPed and had dog poop put in the mailbox sometime April 7-8. The resident suspects students from his son’s former school.

-A $700 IPhone was stolen from a Chagrin Falls woman while she was at First St. business on April 9. She was unable to access her account when she received a replacement, as the owner information had been changed.

-A Detroit Rd. business owner has found 2 unauthorized withdrawals from his bank account. He suspects a contractor he hired is behind both of them. The contactor returned the $1000 from the first instance, saying it was a bank error. After noticing the second $698 transaction, he reported it on April 10.

-A Westlake woman’s 2013 Honda CRV had the front passenger window broken while at a Columbia Rd. business on April 11. Her purse was stolen; it contained US and South Korean currency and credit cards.

-Someone used a Farmington Turn man’s identity to open a credit card account. He notified the bank of the fraud and the account was closed. The matter was reported on April 12.

-On April 12, a Lands End woman reported that a former love interest (26yoa Bedford Hts man) has been calling, texting, and following her for a week. He had previously been warned off such behavior by a WPD officer in February. A Menacing by Stalking warrant will be sought.

-Purchases worth $3328 were made on the internet with a Bordeaux Way woman’s credit card. They were to be shipped to GA, but she cancelled them and the card and reported the theft on April 13.

-A 57yoa Westford Cr. man was so intoxicated that he could not walk from his ride service car to his home on April 14. He was arrested for DCI.
