Congratulations to Avon Heritage Elementary School third-grader, Camryn Dennis, 9, winner of the 2017 Eagle Run Kids T-shirt Design Contest. Avon Local Schools Superintendent Mike Laub recently presented Dennis with her finalized winning design.
Her eagle design will be featured on the Kids Fun Run T-shirts for the 17th Annual Eagle Run, presented by Mercy Health. Dennis received a certificate and a goodie bag full of fun items from Mercy Health and the school district, as well as a four-pack of tickets to an upcoming Lake Erie Crushers baseball game.
“I always see the eagle logo but I wanted to create a cartoon eagle,” said Dennis regarding her design. This is the first time she entered the contest which was open to students grades preK to fifth.
Certificates of Recognition and goodie bags were also presented to Gianna Andress (fourth-grade) and Cody Canning (second-grade).
