Students of the Westlake High School Technology & Engineering (T & E) Department garnered several awards at the Ohio State Fair Technology & Engineering Showcase in Columbus recently.
In the Technology & Engineering Showcase held in the Lausche Youth Center building, Westlake T & E students won the following awards:
The 2017 graduate team of MARK SARGENT, HONG (JACKSON) LIANG, DAVID EPPELE & SNEHA RAMACHANDRAN won the BEST OF SHOW award for their “Urban Reuse” and energy efficient model house design in the Construction/Architecture Technology category.
The team of KAITLIN WILLI (JR.), CONNOR HARTE (JR.), & CONNOR REIS (JR.) won the OUTSTANDING AWARD ribbon for their “Urban Reuse” and energy efficient model house design in the Construction/Architecture Technology category.
The team of MICHAEL REES (SR.), ROBERT FULOP (JR.), & PATRICK GHEEN (JR.) won the OUTSTANDING AWARD ribbon for their “Urban Reuse” and energy efficient model house design in the Construction/Architecture Technology category.

CONNOR HARTE (JR.) for his Drilling and Tapping Jig rendering and 3D printed model in the Computer Generated Technology category.
The Westlake High School Technology & Engineering department display also won the Award of Excellence Trophy for the BEST TECHNOLOGY EXHIBIT.
