National children’s author, Tom Watson, is the featured presenter during the annual Young Author event at Avon Heritage Elementary School May 14. Students, grades 3-5, will hear Watson’s inspiring message during several school assemblies during the day (times listed below). In the evening May 14, Watson will be featured during the Young Author Open House at the school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet and sign books. The evening event highlights the books created by students over the course of the spring – their books will be on display in the cafeteria for parents and students to view. More than 200 students will be participating in grades 3-5.
Watson is the author of the new Stick Cat series. He is also the author of the Stick Dog series. His books can be found in libraries and book stores. For more information on Watson, go to www.stickdogbooks.com.
