Community West Foundation hosted a reception at their Westlake location which brought together grantees, board members and donors to celebrate the Matthew 25 Collection announcement and to showcase newly acquired artwork on display in their office.
As part of their Virtual Community Update held on July 29th, Community West touched on the remarkable impact of art therapy on people dealing with trauma recovery, mental illness, addiction, developmental disabilities and other challenges. Many of their grantee agencies provide art therapy support to their clients as a source of expression and healing.
Community West visited them all recently to select or commission a piece of artwork from each to display in their office in Westlake. The collection has given their office space meaning and joins the mural installed earlier this year by Ryan Jaenke depicting their mission and values. Guests at the reception were the first to see the artwork display.
