Westlake Wins GLC Basketball Title

The Westlake High boys basketball team overcame a 11 point first quarter deficit to defeat Valley Forge 76-61 Saturday night and win the Great Lakes Conference Tournament Championship.

With the win, the Demons improved to 20-2 on the season. The team was led by Ray Ellington who had 23 points and 5 blocks. Greyson Elyaderani scored 17 points, Julian Coleman had 16 and Basheer Alramahi had 10. Jacob Miller contributed 12 rebounds.

The Demons are back in action Wednesday, Feb. 23, in a first round tournament game against North Ridgeville at home at 7.

Westlake Basketball Honors

The Westlake Demons boys basketball team earned a number of awards at the GLC league meeting Sunday. Senior Ray Ellington was named MVP of the conference! Ray, Will Ostrowski and Greyson Elyaderani were all named 1st team all conference. Basheer Alramahi was named 2nd team All-GLC and Julian Coleman and Derek Occhipinti were Honorable Mention Selections. Well deserved and congrats to all!

On The Ice at Crocker Park
