Good-Bye, Holly Lane

So, long, Holly Lane School in Westlake! The 50-plus year old school came down last week, marking the end for another well-loved district school facility in the community. Holly Lane joins Bassett and Dover Elementary Schools as the latest to bite the dust, all rendered obsolete by the new Westlake Elementary School. Holly Lane, like the others, will become a green space and, thankfully, the iconic cannon on the top of hill in the Holly Lane playground, will remain. So long, old friend! Remember, it’s better to out-live your old school than the other way around!
