The Westlake High football team opened the season with a bang last Friday night, posting a 42-28 win over visiting Midview.
The Westlake offense rolled up 340 yards and scored three times off turnovers, including an interception return from Cooper Rummel.
A new era of Midview football kicked off with mixed results Friday at Westlake.
Westlake was paced by senior running back Matthew Porcelli with 95 yards on the ground and 2 TDs. Rummel added a 7-yard TD in addition to his 52 yard interception return.
