The USS Cleveland (LCS 31), arrived in Cleveland last Saturday for a week long stay to end with a historic commissioning ceremony on May 16, the first time in 250 years that a U.S. Navy warship will be commissioned in the State of Ohio.

“The USS Cleveland is the fourth Navy vessel to bear the city’s name, continuing a proud legacy that connects the people of Northeast Ohio to those who serve at sea. Its commissioning honors that history while strengthening the bond between our community and the U.S. Navy,” USS Cleveland Legacy Foundation.
