Westlake’s ‘Fightin’ Females’ Top Police Blotter

Westlake Police had their share of Fightin’ Females last week – everything but the mud wrestlers are on blotter!

POLICE_Westlake_Disclaimer

An April 1 argument in the parking lot of a Detroit Rd. apartment complex resulted in a DCI summons for a 36yoa female resident. A caller reported that the suspect had argued with a male who drove off. The suspect would not describe the incident to the officers on scene. Due to her level of intoxication, WFD took her to St. John Medical Center, where she kicked a nurse. An Assault warrant was issued.

-A 35yoa Avon Lake woman threw a glass of wine at a 23yoa barmaid working at a Main St. bar on April 5. The victim attributes the suspect’s fastball (highball?)  to jealousy over the attentions of a male patron being paid to the victim. The Avon Lake woman was banned from the establishment and the city prosecutor will consider a possible Assault charge.

-A Cleveland woman and man met in a Crocker Rd. hotel room for drinks and chat on April 3. The male turned the conversation towards infamous criminals who were violent with women, which made the female apprehensive. She snuck out of the room and then received threatening texts from the male. The city prosecutor will consider an Agg. Menacing charge.

-An intoxicated 54yoa Fairview Park woman was asked to leave a Center Ridge Rd. bar on April 1. She was arrested for DCI in the parking lot.

Down & Out & Pantless

An intoxicated 51yoa man from Rocky River caused commotion at a Clague Rd. clinic on April 6. Officers found him without pants or drawers on; he had refused to leave when staff asked him to. He fought with officers when arrested for DCI, adding Resisting Arrest to his woes. He has been banned from the premises.

Doggy Treat?

A 48yoa Lorain woman stole $98 worth of steaks and a toy (she said they were for her dog) on April 4 from a Detroit Rd. store. She was arrested for Petty Theft.

Miscellaneous Mayhem

-A Schwartz Rd. Rd. home was burgled on March 31. Bodily force was used on the pedestrian garage door. Jewelry, cash, and Rx meds were taken. Some of the jewelry and medications were found in a neighbor’ yard the next day.

-A 29yoa Detroit Rd. man became intoxicated on April 1 and pounded on the door of a Remington Dr. woman in a search for his friend’s residence. He was arrested for DCI.

-Somebody struck out on April 1 while using a Sperrys Forge Tr. woman’s credit card. All 3 online purchase attempts and the card were cancelled.

-A 16yoa Westlake boy’s clothing and shoes were taken from an unlocked Rec. Center locker on April 2. The clothes were found elsewhere in the building; the shoes were not.

-A Dellwood Dr. man reported a phony US income tax return had been filed using his ID on April 4.

-Sometime March 31-April 3, a Clemens Rd. business was entered by forcing a door open. Numerous power tools were taken; an inventory is being conducted.
