Westlake Senior Citizens Scammed in ‘Phone Bail’ Scheme

Two senior citizens have lost $3000 total in the past two days to callers who pretended to be friends or family needing bail money, report Westlake Police. The calls originated in Canada and had the victims buy gift cards and read off the numbers.
