On July 10, 2014 an Upland Road resident reported that his vehicle was entered between 9pm on July 9th and 10am on July 10th.   Several items were stolen including a handgun. On 06/30/2014, at 1710 hrs, a Lincoln Rd. resident called BVPD to report someone had used his name and personal information to apply for unemployment benefits.  Police are investigating. Former Bay Coach Arrested for Sexual Battery

In December 2013, the Bay High School administration contacted the Bay Village Police Department regarding Kevin Fillinger, the boy’s junior varsity basketball coach, having inappropriate communications with Bay High students. Westlake Police hold felony warrants for Shawuan M TELFAIR, 28-years-old (last known address in Cleveland). TELFAIR was a manager at a Westlake group home and used the Ohio Direction cards of three developmentally disabled male residents to make purchases totaling $749 that were not for those residents.
